Ports of Bari and Barletta: first sediment sampling initiative

Preliminary sediment sampling began yesterday, February 15, in the Bari and Barletta harbours.

All standard sampling procedures are being followed by the staff of the Polytechnic of Bari. The aliquots for the pre-characterisation of the sediments and the powdered shells will soon be sent to four laboratories: Geotechnical Lab of the Polytechnic University of Bari, ISPRA Lab and CNR-TARANTO and CNR-PISA.
